Days before Christmas in 1989, a small town in New York's Finger Lakes region was terrified by the brutal massacre of a family in their home. Thus began a decade-long string of tragedies and murders that rocked the quiet community of Dryden and triggered talk of a so-called "curse." The serialized documentary "Village of the Damned" explores what Investigation Discovery labels "important and disturbing questions concerning how innocent people become ensnared by evil, and how a tight-knit community survives when senseless crime pushes it past the breaking point."
