Blasting bluegrass music and surrounded by pick-up trucks, Charlie Norman and his team comb through the Appalachians to discover abandoned log cabins. Each week, Charlie and his team head out into unknown territory to discover 200-year-old lumber and the almost extinct 'Wormy' Chestnut tree to old chimneys that haven't existed in a long time. His team uses these lost treasures to build custom log cabins that look as if they're from a different era.

In Sandy Mush, N.C., Charlie and his crew disassemble a 100-year-old cabin on a compound time forgot, but trouble seems to follow them at every turn; a crew member goofs off leading to a trip to the hospital.
Charlie receives a call from a man offering a barn full of disassembled barn wood; Charlie assists his friend, Sarah, whose cabin has acquired a bad case of rot; Charlie and his wife, Beth, build a mantle piece for his eighth grade teacher.
In Church Hill, Tenn., Vaux has a 100-year-old barn that is rotting from the ground up; unwilling to tear it down, he brings in the log cabin crew; Charlie, who must raise the barn and install a fresh foundation to keep it sealed from the elements.
In Jonesborough, Tenn., Susan calls on Charlie and his team to dismantle an old barn on her property where she wants to build her dream house; Charlie consults with town officials about a historic cabin in need of repair.
Charlie heads to Lake Norman, N.C., to renovate an antique log cabin turned vacation home; it's a gorgeous old lakeside cabin, but it has quite a few problems; the foundations, floors, ceiling, paneling, and logs are all in need of a little TLC.
In Johnson City, Tenn., Bobby and Laurena hire Charlie to move one of their historic structures; set into a hillside and surrounded by gardens, the team must resort to old-fashioned handiwork in order to haul the heavy hand-hewn beams out.
